Aristotle’s Rhetoric, Book III, Part VI: The Importance of Understanding Language

In Rhetoric, Aristotle has recently been discussing how important it is to understand writing and speaking etiquette. For example, if a person is told to give an answer to a certain question on a college application, they could either simply answer the question with a single line, or they can make a creative and in-depth answer. Between the two, the college would obviously choose the second person. What I mean by this is that the more elegant and efficient people are in their writing and speaking, the easier it is to convince people of your point.
